Topic: I am now crab rescue. Posted: December 05 2004 at 7:51pm |
OK I had a 55g FW crab and crustation tank. Well it went away a while ago due to an accident on my part.
I still like crustations, I had a 30 gallon tank setup waiting to go. So I threw in my halloween crab for GP's. Then I put my two large sump Da**ed hermits in there. Then it hit me... I can have a SW crustation tank.
2 points.
ONE Will different crabs all get along within reason? My FW experience tells me yes with out overpopulation and plenty of food.
TWO. So before you flush the punk that just ate your 50$ fish last night. Drop me a line and I will arrange pickup for him.
Suzy started it with her LARGE orange hairy hermit. HE is cool. But I think he is always hungry.

Sky, I think that the crab form Suzy is one I used to have. Very cool!
I have no experance to tell you one way or the other but I bet you will have some fighting and some crustation death matches. Good luck though.

I have several different kinds of hermit crabs, emerald crabs, some crabs I brought home from California (hermits, I'm guessing), a gorgeous red crab that I got from Reptoreef, a pistol shrimp, cleaner shrimp, several peppermint shrimp, and tons of mysis shrimp. With the exception of a fight I saw the other day, they all seem fine. I probably feed more than Jake & a few others, but they all seem great to me.

Bruce, where did you get him from?
Skye, are you going to adopt all the pencil urchins, too?

I saw small ones at petco just the other day. Pensil urchins are off the list cuz of a past experience. Ask my better half for the story.
