I am interested too.

I bought all of the stuff, and started dripping, with the one drip per second level. Then I started researching Magnesium, and Epsom salt, and Baking soda, etc...

So now I just do more frequent water changes and supplement calcium, because I was afraid I was going to crash my tank.

I use kalk in all of my top off water and love it.. it is very easy once you figure out how much kalk is needed for your tanks needs. Kalk maintains your calc and alk, but is not used to raise it.

So somewhat of a noob question, but not having ever used kalk how would I go about figuring out my tanks needs to give it a go. I have been using the kents super buffer and liquid calcium.
