Just got a kalk reactor and was wondering how often I should have the stiring pump turn on?

Mike, I would think that you only need to stir it 2-4 times a day for just a few minutes at a time.  Once the water is saturated, you really dont need more.

When I ran mine, it mixed for 1 minute every 4 hours. When your's mixes, does it cloud the entire reactor? If so, you might want to be careful not to dose slurry to your tank.

Where do I get a timer that will do the cycles I need. If I run it through my ATO how do I make sure it doesn't run while the pump is stirring

The digital timers available at HD or Lowes will run in 1 minute increments.  I used one to control the mixing pump on my kalk reactor.  I ran it for 1 minute, four times daily.  If I remember correctly, I set the pump to mix at 12 pm, 12 am, 3am and 6am.
