Topic: Plumbing Help Posted: June 19 2009 at 1:54pm |

I am doing my plumbing and have all of the 1" PVC run down to the
floor. Going through the vent is kindof tricky with a lot of bends and
I was thinking of using that 1" flex vacuum hose stuff. Where do I get
this and what is it really called? After the 1" I will connect with a
"T" to a 1 1/2" line and go to the sump. Can I use this flex on the
return?

Theres a place called house of pumps off of 8th west and 90th south that sells it as well... hopefully running the lines through the vents don't cause problems as far as heating or cooling

Thanks Adam. I will find some and get it hooked up.
Nick, the vent is old, it has since been replaced by central air so it just goes to the basement and is open. No harm done...

i have to go through the floor with 1", 1 1/2" wont fit through the vent/stand. After the vent I am going back to hard PVC, if you have that in 1 1/2" I will take some of it.

Well. I may hit you up if I decide I need some. Right now I would prefer to do it in hard PVC except for the vent, but you never know what I might run into. I will keep you in mind.

Im with Keith. Mine is plumbed with flex hose from one floor to the other. I ran mine through the cold air return. 1 1 1/2 or 2" return with 2-1" returns and 2-3/4' returns.
