I have heard from a lot of people the octopus skimmer is awesome and very nice, i would love to increase my water quality. I have a 40g tank (undrilled so i need a HoB) and i was wondering if the octopus is THAT much better than the remora. Thanks for your feedback.

I would spend the extra money and get this one:


It is the Octopus bh2000. I had a guy on another forum PM his experience with about 10 different HOB skimmers. He said this is the best one he has ever used and it is pulling out about 3-4x what his Remora did.

I will be honest I have not been to impressed with the Remora I have, but I would not say the bh-100f would be a big upgrade, the 2000, or the 800S would be much much better skimmers though.
