are starfish (brittle stars) a worthwhile addition to a reef tank? anything to be wary of?

Two sides of the spectrum here.  Some people will tell you they love seastars (all the brittle stars) as they are a great addition for removing detritus and are a very beneficial animal to have in your tank.  Other people will tell you they have witnessed their brittle stars (usually the green variety) catching and eating small fish, and would tell you to avoid buying one.

I've never kept the green brittles before, but have had a black in nearly every tank I have ever set up.  I think they are worthwhile scavengers.

I agree with Shane H.  I have an awesome big red one.  Love it!
