my clown just lost a home....... my aneome got sucked into a power head but just under half looks good can i cut off the part that is sucked in  , will the rest of him live ????????

turn the powerhead off and let him get himself out. YOu can tug on it a lil but be careful he should live

thank god for me being lazy i had not cleened my tank latly and pwr hd was covered in algie so it only got half of him

the power head being half covered probably made the suction greater on the open ones that were left, the anemone will probably survive they are pretty tough.

sryCry, I was not trying to be rough, aneome's are difficult in that they just decide to move, then they manage to sting what ever is near them or like you experienced get sucked into power heads, they are pretty but I have lost a few plate corals due to their wanderings.

well he still all jamed up in there today showing no sign of tring to get out and doesnt look good what might happen if i cut him ...not off the pwrhd but just out of the intake (just the part that is sucked up)

he looks like he is stuck to the pwrhd like he would be to a rock but hasnt opened today and i think just under half of him is sucked into the pwrhd
