'Cause it is so freakin' easy!

Really! Most of the work involved in growing live food is the set up. Maintenance is literally seconds a day for some, mere minutes for others.

  'Cause it is so beneficial!

Live food adds to a reef tank, while dead food detracts. For example, live microalgae will absorb excess nutrients, dead algae IS excess nurtrients.

 'Cause you can!

Got a spare bucket laying around?

where can I go to find out more about growing my live food for my tank?  I really would love to do that for my fish and coral.

 I forgot the coolest reason:

 Cause it is so cheap!

You can grow buckets of pods, and gallons of phyto and zillions of feeder shrimp for the cost of setting it up. And, most things grow in 5 gallon buckets that we have laying around anyway!

I would recommend going to a place where you can share starts, ask questions and get  feed back. Some where you can discuss growing live food with local people who know our local environment.  Somewhere with people who are doing it with super results!
