As club Historian I get to take photos and notes of club meetings.  Well I also do the same for presidency meetings.  Heil thought it would be a good idea to post a little bit about that on message board so that club members can see that the presidency does in fact meet, discuss, and plan.

This past presidency meeting was fabulous!  Thanks to Will for hosting the Pond party...
(attended, absent)
Shane Heil, Will Spencer, Adam Blundell, Debbie Morrill, Amy Newbold, Jake Pehrson, Corey Price, Dion Richins, Eva Rushton, Mike Savage, Shane Silcox, Shawn Winterbottom.

Updates From Pres Members-
All presidency members provided updates on the status of their positions and projects.  Here is some quick info...
1) SeaStar- keep on sending submissions, the SeaStar is going great
2) Big fundraiser set for next month's meeting.  Could provide funds to bring in Fall speakers
3) We aren't going to make a club scrapbook... but who knows maybe a yearbook
4) Donations and raffle items need to be bigger focus in upcoming months
5) Big activities planned and dated (Summer Barbecue, Reef Tour, etc)... more to come on this later
6) Troubles updating the website, and keeping new content available.  New gallery in the works and brainstorming on how to improve the site
7) For PR the club is working to highlight a couple stores (and their staff) in SeaStar articles as well as create online posts about our meetings (ksl)
8) Club membership numbers are on par with previous years.... about 200 annual memberships
9) Club store needs to be updated, and we have suggestions for a couple new items to add.  Calcium Reactor flanges still not available

Upcoming Meetings-
Meeting Topics planned for June, July, August, September, October.
Meetings include presentations from local club members as well as guest speakers.  Stay tuned for topics on Aquascaping, Micro Foods, Frag Fests, Sumps, Reef Tour and more!

My favorite quotes of the night (I can't post them all, Heil will delete them)
"I love fat boys" -Shane Heil
"I like Randy Reed, he's a nice guy and he's cheap" -Shane Heil
"Do you have any hot cousins?" -Shane Heil
"We eat a lot, therefore we poop a lot" -Shane Heil
"It's not like I apologize for being Brown" -Amy Newbold
"I'm jealous, I can't pee in a bottle" -Amy Newbold
Adam

Gathering around...

Will's Pond (which has been featured in magazines!)

Will's Firepit (Where Kristy cooks smores for Adam)

Another shot of the pond and people...

ps- I was going to mention the Dutch Oven roasted Pork that Will made.  But I thought it would make people jealous so I decided not to say anything.

Adam, you had a POND party and only invited 8 people? What were you thinking!

Pond parties are the ultimate summer hoopla! Loud music, laughing, water fights! It is way more fun with tons of people! We are doing a big bash in July. I would love to see some old friends again. Everyone is invited. But, there are rules:

#1. No one can dive in the pond. Rob thinks his plants will get messed up. But, wading and snorkeling are perfectly fine and even more perfectly fun. If you stick your snorkled face in the pond, my fish will kiss you on the lips! Don't worry, they don't have teeth. You have to talk sweet nothings to them, though. I don't want them to feel used....

#2. You have to have at least one burger. Rob got a huge TimTheToolman grill, so we will have too many if they don't get eaten. But, once you have one, you will want another.

#3. If you want to see the MO breeding stuff, you have to be quick. Summer is all about the outdoor fish. And, don't try to sneak in the basement. We have an attack bird who is very protective. I can show you all my newest pink stuff, but we have to distract the killer bird.

#4. Dogs are allowed, but no cats, ferrets and especially reptiles. No spiders or bugs either. Ok, you can bring bugs if they are leashed. But no cats. Or spiders. Or reptiles. We are allergic.

POND PARTIES ARE THE BEST PART OF SUMMER

This was a great example of meeting notes and shows shy people want to be in the presidency...just for the ice cream and roast pork.
Vipers look cool at a distant, but be careful of the bite..its a killer!

Still to many cool stuff not enough money
