k Now everyone, no stealing my idea. But how cool would it be to have a shower fish tank. Like the walls of your shower were a fish tank. Idk maybe im just wacked or something. but I think i would finaly have an excuse for taking long showers and it would just be awsome. Just thought it was a good idea let me know what you think.

You may be on to something. I remember houses in the 60s & 70s that had an atrium in the center of the house with rooms all around it. Most rooms had a whole wall view of the atrium. This would be cool to do with a reef tank! Your idea about the shower just reminded me of this.

Thanks Mike...Lol The only problem with it is you probably couldnt do a reef. Just because it would have to be like 6 feet deep and the lighting would be impossible.

You could supplement the lighting with natural light! I bet low light corals would do great on the bottom part of the tank.

I just hope that the owner wouldn't happen to take a shower in the middle of the atrium/tank when I stop by for a visit.

What's wrong with that? We stare at them unclothed. How do you think they feel?

If you did it as multiple side view, perhaps from the bedroom,..{but then I wouldn't make it six feet tall}...just built into the wall.....
If you think about it, the cost on the glass doors for showers is huge.....why not build a half wall, put a tank on top, and tile the inside....this would eliminate one of the panes of glass for the shower surround....

Funny Story-
I have a book on keeping snakes and other reptiles. In this particular book the author describes how to create the best reptile cage. He converts his bathroom shower into a cage. It has a swing open glass door, a drain, a water supply and shower for rain....
.... the entire time I read the chapter I kept thinking "no way this guy is married"

My wife said she saw a shower with a fish tank on one whole wall of it on some amazing rich people house TV show or something.
Sorry, is that the same as stealing your idea?

In my mind's eye, I could just see Jamison's eyes light up when a reptile was mentioned.
I think it would be cool, but good luck maintaining it.
