I noticed in anohter thread someone mentioned Cukes are not self-fragging.  I bought a yellow cucumber from Pet Factory about 7 months ago and about 2 weeks later he was looking real sick, I actually thought he died.  Well I got busy and figured I would get him out of the tank on the weekend (at the time I was working 14 hour days) .  When the weekend came I noticed he had moved, not only did he move but I had 2 cukes one a bit smaller than the original.  Do they split like this often?

We have had ours for 6 months on the 23 of March.  What started as one, in six months is now six.  Over the course of several days they twist or kink horizontally in the middle one way, then kink the opposite direction.  Then overnight there are two where once was one.  Pretty cool stuff.

Yes,

Some types of Cukes use division as a way of self propagation.  This is fairly common with some types.
