A few weeks ago I noticed several of these little guys in my tank. I could only find them at night. Now I am finding them in the day. They have gotten much bigger. Are they "safe"? Does anybody know what kind they are?

I have tons of these and they do not seem to harm anything.

Hard to tell from the picture.  Do you have any close-ups?

I have shloads of the same, seem harmless, but do cause a little concern when they "surge" just before lights out. buggers come out from everywhere and I can never figure out where they're all hiding during the day.

Harmless algae eaters. I have a ton in my tank and mostly see them at night. These multiply fast.
