A few days ago I purchased an Orange Linkia Starfish... This morning I came in and his tips were curled back... He has only moved about 1-2". I am concerned that he is sick. Does anyone have any input or ideas on how to diagnose this critter?

I think the key to keeping these delicate star fish is a slow acclimation.

How did you acclimate him?

I'm not sure there is anything you can do for him at this point.

Jake... thanks for replying. I acclimated him for about 30min... Then slowly added some water from my tank. I am not really sure what else I can do for the guy. I'm hoping he's just adjusting- however, I'm thinking the worst because his energy level has dropped dramitically.

I have heard that some stars, like Linkia sp., should never be removed from the water.

My starfish is still alive and kicking . Maybe he just had the blues yesterday.

Thanks to all who gave input. I will keep posting if anything changes.
