IS there realy any benefit from running your return first into a refug then into the sump. Or is it better to do it the other way around. I'm trying to design a sump/fuge for my new 65 gallon.

One of the benefits of a refugium is that pods grow unhindered that then help feed fish in your main tank. If this is the goal then I would recommend sump to refug

Hi,

IMO you want to feed your fuge the "dirtiest" water possible, it helps feed the pods's and macro's.  HTH

Cheers!
