This is my 5 gal. Nano with 10gal. Fug/Sump. The 5 gallon was set up for close to 1.5 years before I added the sump 6 months ago. It runs all natural with the exception of some carbon. I do a once a month 2.5 gallon water change and that's it.

It runs really stable and it's easy to maintain...just thought you guys might want to see!!

Nitro:

That is totally cool.  :)  I'm going to set up a similar sump design for my nano to help with filtration and macro growth.  You did a nice job with yours!

Travis,

You have the sand, live rock and skimmer.  Trey is right, time to go back to bigger!

Really nice! So you drilled the back of the tank when it had livestock in it, or how did you drill an established tank?

I just moved the rock, drained some water and drilled away. the tank is acrylic, so it was easy. the overflow is a 1.5 bulkhead with a elbow that I slotted with teeth. The return is a .5 bulkhead.
