MH wire question

	I have 2 advanced ballasts that I need to wire .. they are 50w for my sump ... it stats that one of the 120v wires goes into the bellest .. the common goes into the lamp socket ... is this correct? .. what one is the common? Also .. can I use just a standard light socket with the lamps? ... they again are 50 watt .. but I worry about the heat melting the plastic bulb socket ... 	for MH you need to use a porcelalin socket, I belive that you can get the 50 and 70w bulb in the standard base, as for the socket the outer jacket of the socket would be a white wire and the common/neutral wire will go here. the center pin would be a black wire, or the hot wire. there should also be a schematic on each balast.
