For someone more experienced than me. Would you do to large power heads at the top of the tank or 4 smaller stacked 2 high at each end? Would you get better turnover and circulation from the 4 or doesn't it matter?

being less of a smart ass though, we need to know more about your tank size/dimensions to be able to make a good recommendation

Being the King 'O Cheap that I am, I can definitely say that two powerheads at the top back corners pointed slightly up to create a rippling effect while aimed at the front middle of a rectangular tank to create a turbulent effect, is the best way to use the least amount of powerheads.

But the more circulation the better, so I agree with DNellans, if you can afford it.
