"Could the Majano wand shock me if my hand was in the tank?" " No. The Majano Wand operates on 12 volts, the same voltage as most cellphones, which is much to weak to shock you." Haha! Tell your 12 volt car battery it's too weak to shock you! Oh and... what cell phones operate at 12v!? Just sayin... This thing does look like fun though.

I have a $.25 majano wand. I fill a needle full of the calcium I dose and directly inject my majanos. Kills them off and I can keep my levels to par as well

I would love to come see it when you get...
I guess I haven't had the experience other seem to have with needles!
So I would love it if this works.

There are tons of DIY threads out there for them, and my previous club made one for club use. Ya know...just in case you want to save some $$. :)

The Majano Wand is a Pat pending device, and anyone who infringes upon the Patent will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law, or so I have been told & warned. Perhaps Reef'd Up should remove that link?

You can't be prosecuted for making your own, or showing someone how to make their own

And if they're really selling them for $100. I hope everyone does make their own!

Really? You can google Majano wand or Aiptasia wand and get a ton of links on how to build one. Putting a link here doesn't infringe on anything. If it truly was an issue then it would be 3reef.com and not utahreefs.com, that would have any sort of issue. Also since it's patent pending it's a moot point anyway AND making one for home use in no way violates a patent. It's only once you try to manufacture and sell the to others.
P.S. I saw you making the same threats in the 3reef forum. I take it you are associated with the maker of the Majano wand? If so just say so! Don't come into the forum trying to scare people with legalities. Just an FYI as a consumer I'd much rather a vendor say "Hey guys just so you know we are tying to patent this and would appreciate it if you didn't infringe on that once it goes through, but in the mean time let me tell you why you should buy ours instead of making a rip off because the rip off isn't so good in areas A, B, and C and so you can totally see that our product is awesome!".
As is I now have a sour taste in my mouth about your product and company.

In case anyone is wondering.... so far this thing is a piece of junk. If I'm able to actually kill majano (manjano) or aiptasia with it I'll let you know.

I find my curiousity peaked. Adam was this a complete bust or was it functional? My stupid camel shrimp keeps killing off my aiptasia eating peppermint soldiers traitorous little whelp (it is to proud to accept the help and talk about an elusive critter one of these days it will live happily ever after in the sump ) So anyway just wondering about this model train volt toy?

When you are zapping them you'd say it is working great. But the next day when the same anemone is back you'll be wondering why you keep trying it.

that's a shame. guess if you really want to kill it probably require more electricity to zap it away and probably fry everything in the tank while its at it.
