I just picked up a bunch of mushrooms at the meeting. This is my first
time trying to attach them to anything. I have them in little glass jars with
sand and rubble. I put bridal veil over the top of those to keep them from
floating out and to keep curious fish out. I understand I can wait a week
or more for the mushrooms to attach to some sand and then glue them
where I please, but...

What kind of superglue do I use?

I have several kinds at home but they all say they don't work in water

Use super glue gel.

Just to let you know mushrooms have a mind of their own, even if they do attach to the sand, after you superglue them somewhere they will sometimes still move, but this method does work. You can try to jam them into a crack on your live rock. I have found that this works well too, you just need a nice crevice in the right spot...

Also your mushrooms want to be in a low light low flow area of the tank. So once I have the mushrooms where I want them, super glued or jammed into a crack, I adjust the flow of my tank to a bare minium for a day or two. The low flow encourages them to stay put.  It might not the best thing for the tank but mushrooms moving after you have them where you want them is no fun. Good luck.

August 06 I'll be Lt. Baker and finally able to put even more money into my tank!
First graduation then off to Air Force srike navigator training. I'll be Goose from Top Gun

I just attached a mushroom to a rock by using netting and rubber bands he took hold in 3 days and did non make a fuss. Just put him in place and drape the net over then rubber band the ends so he cant get out or move around alot or he will rollup in defiance.

Good luck
