I have been told that chocolate chip star fish eat corals. What type of corals do they eat?
If they mainly eat softies I have some woods polyps that need to be removed from some rock.

I was not able to find info on the Chocolate Chip Star...But I did find other stars that were not reef safe.  Their diet was the same, so I would guess that the Chocolate chip star would feed the same.  Here is what I found:

"As it grows older, however, it is not reef compatible, as it will eat soft corals, sponges, tubeworms, clams, starfish, and other invertebrates."

Yeah - what he said.

I've had them in the past, they eat everything they can catch --> including tubeworms, coral, clams, etc.

But .... I have two harlequin shrimp that would love to meet your starfish for dinner sometime.

I was just hoping for the impossible. I was hoping that the cc would start with woods polyps and then move on to pale green palythoa.
The reason I have the starfish is for my soon to arive harliquin shrimp

The CC stafish in my FOWLER tank hasn't even tried climbing up the rockwork yet and he's been in there over a week now.  He like the glass and the substrate.  I'm sort of hoping he'll eat some Green Paylthoa as well.
