Clusters are for sale on ebay and at some online pet stores. I think these look really cool, and they look like a great place for small fish to hide, but the question is are they safe to put inside of a tank?

As a second question, would it be possible to keep live barnacles in an aquarium?

The only barnacles that I know are being kept are temperate species and the tanks are being kept about 55 degrees.

I have small barnacle in the rock in my tank. The rock came with tons of it and many of them died but the 30 or do that are still alive are way cool to watch.
not sure how well you can see it feeding just a cell phone pic

There are some of the smaller species that come in on shells and coral bases that will survive in our tanks quite well. As for the larger species, I believe the only ones kept in captivity are, as Mike mentioned, temperate and require colder water.

I have lots of the large barnacle rocks in my tank.  They are great!
