about 3 months ago I noticed some stray voltage bothering a cut I had on my finger so I went out and bought a grounding probe. Instantly the problem was fixed (cut and no cut) and everything went fine until yesterday I noticed the same problem only worse. I have no open wounds on my hand and it shocks me so bad I can't even get in to flip a coral over that got knocked off my rocks. I thought maybe the probe went bad so I unplugged it and it was noticeably worse, I plugged it back in and it takes some out but it doesn't appear it can handle as much voltage that is going into the water. First of all I don't know what could be releasing so much voltage... I have two koralias and my return pump that touches the water and nothing else. Secondly would another probe help pull more voltage out or should I just start pulling pumps?
Yea. I lost a starfish due to this. I unpluged all my power heads.. nothing.. heater, nothing, but i never thought my lights were it because they were sitting on top of my hood which wasnt touching my water, but still gave it a big shock.. But yea, try Every thing that is using electricity in your tank. You will eventualy find it:P
