Refugium lights "ON" 24/7, extra algae in the display and no feeding for 3-5 days will take care of it.

I'd keep it in the sump. Lower the nutrients and give it a few days.

I am dealing with cyano in my seahorse tank, any suggestions on how to get rid of it? I can't not feed them for 3-5 days that would not be good as they are just getting to feel like home in their tank.
I am in the process of getting a sump installed in it but for now I have the cheato in the tank.

A little introspection here. I too have Cyano growing wonderfully in my clownfish rearing tank. I'm starting to have just a glimpse at how large the ocean is. We set up these little tanks and have the audacity to expect a clean and pristine environment while we overload them with fish and feedings. We must be crazy. I probably come down a little hard on Cyano because I dislike it but the truth is that it is one of the best ways to handle extra waste and is definitely a great indicator that the current biofiltration is not adequate to handle the overfeeding/overstocked situation. Hooray for Cyanobacteria.
