I have no idea. There are only three things that have changed in my tank over the past month.
1. I got rid of all my chaeto when I killed the flatworms I had in my frag tank, but I removed the frag and sump from my main tank to do it. So I dont think that had anything to do with it since that was a week or two ago and shouldn't have affected anything.
2. had changed is the temp of my tank lowered 3 degrees for the winter season. I dont know why that would cause any problems either.
3. Added the vortechs and took out the k4's

Bingo! The vortechs are the problem. Pull them out immediately and I'll be by to pick them up! No need to thank me, either, it's just how I roll.

Keith was that one of the ones you got from us? Believe it or not through a few bad events we are sps free now....  Gonna let the tank run a few months without any and begin adding it back...
