Lettuce?  Is that a Pectinia sp?  If so, I would like to know too .

I would imagine you could just break off a chunk, but I'm not really sure

It's a "leather" type (also called Cabbage Leather Coral) so it frags easily with scissors and elastic, just like Mushroom Leather and Finger Leather. Go for it.

Superglue is the thing for stoney coral and zooanthids because they have a hard base, but usually not as good for leathers as a simple elastic or two crossed over it in a hole or depression in the rock. For big pieces stick a toothpick through it into a crack in the rock or stick a toothpick horizontally with an elastic on each end, holding it to the rock.

The thing about them is they will expand and the elastic will cut through the flesh, so don't make it too tight, and place it in a hole so some flesh stays uncut. Does that make sense? I'd take of pic of one of mine but my camera broke.

As Jon said.  Cabbage coral.  Sinularia dura.  I would frag as mark mentioned about, but just glue the cutting to a rock with scissors, because they have spicules that will easily attach to a rock with super glue.

I have fragged Pectinia with some success.  In the past I have just cut/broke a piece off from the colony and the some frags did survive.  A couple of time I have killed both the mother colony and the frag, so it is a little risky.  I would only attempt it on a well established coral and only if you are willing to risk losing the coral.
