Im starting a new 72 gallon setup. Just needed some quick advice on getting it cycled. How much sand should I start out with and should I order some live sand as well? Also should I try and get  aprox 70lbs of live rock to start my cycle? Basically just wondering what I need to do to get going. I have a Remora C skimmer as well, does this need to be running during the cycle? Thanks again for the help. Boady

Here is what a customer said while on hold Oh my gosh! Did you open the door? I told you not to open the door. Dre is in here completely naked and he's got freak'n Macaroni and Cheese in his hands.

The old Cycling method is outdated. Use the method described here:
http://www.utahreefs.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=9244
Start out with good stuff from another tank, moved submerged in LW. Then adding more LR allows it to stay alive and less stressed throughout the process.
Macroalgae under 24 hr lighting for about 5 days will totally avoid the issue of high N compounds. If you want more info, just call.
