Topic: Kick a** meeting!!! Posted: July 16 2004 at 12:37am |
I am really glad to have had the opportunity to attend tonight's WMAS meeting and meet with such an awesome array of people... This club rocks!!! The little "gab -n- grub" chit chat session, that followed, was great, too. Weimers, keep me informed on the $75 piece of LR that ya picked up, too .
Thanks again, Jason

I brought like 150$ for the auction just to be prepared..... I spent what 25 on the club and 5$ personal and free frag was gave to me..... I do not attend freshwater meetings, but seem drawn to the WMAS meetings. More lively a croud I guess. Maybee it's suzy But I always am buying frags and goodies at these meetings.
Hey adam, loking for sugestions..... on big meetings like this, MAYBE (time permitting ) get there an hour early and do a dry run......

The Weimers are soooo cool. They took over for me at the money box so that I could go check out the frags... and the whole meeting, actually. I sincerely hope the Yellow Acropora they bought turns out to be the best looking ever (It was probably just very retracted last night)
Thanks to everyone that was there. Now we can pay for next months guest!
And the cam eye view of coral propagation was perfect. Everyone could see. No more crowds of people straining to see over heads in front. Man, we've come a long way!

It was a great meeting. Looking at the rotifers through the microscope was way cool.
The cam eye view was great. We should have grabbed some of the lighting off the side table and hooked it up.
One question... What about parking? How much longer can that facility hold us?

Great meeting everyone- Thanks for bringing the club to its present state. Cam eye was a great addition, but could have used more light. Name tags is a great idea.
I second the parking question! How about doing the next meeting on the patio? Circle or semi-circle forum for all to see, and see each other. If the meeting cannot be outside, then how about the sales tables being set up on the patio to allow more room inside?
What if the dinner-after-association part (Dees?) was take out food of some kind(Chinese?) brought to the patio???
Thanks Adam for the PDF supplies, too.

Thanks, Connie! I think you're pretty cute, too!
I'll let you know how my $75 yellow acropora does. Do you need any more live sand? The bags that you left were picked up by ?? someone. That was a good idea.

That meeting was very insightful. I feel much less anxiety arounf fragging my corals now. Let's do that every meeting. I'd still like to learn how to frag shrooms/ricordea, wall frogspawn or hammer coral, and Sarcophyton in case your ramping up for the next frag swap already. It felt a little like a "going out of business" sale at an electronics shop, but I think most all of us got some awesome deals on some great frags. It was a blast! So when do we find out who made it on to Connie's "Hottie List"? I'm sure that Entertainment Tonight is dieing to know!

The list just goes on & on... But Jamison your in the top 5 I got 6 bags of sand altogether. I am adding them to a tank that has the black moon sand so, I mixed them in a big bowl, added extra water from the tank. Mixed & mixed and dumped in the water in the tank.. not to pretty, I can tell you that..... I then put the sand in my main ref.... All in all I think this will work great.... The horses are SPENDY!!!! so I am thankful to all..... Renee, let me know how that coral does. Im sure I will be kicking myself in a month or so when it gets comfy in your tank and the color comes out....

Woohoo! I guess the next round's on me. If I'm top 5 though, you may want to seriously consider raising your standards. So what clinched it for me? The receding hairline, the extra pale (nearly clear) skin, my striking resemblance to Steve Buscemi, or my anorexic-type physique? I thought I had a chance with Carl for a while there too, till he left without giving me the lap dance he promised.

My wife was a little taken aback by my little purchase, she's pretty understanding though. It's an incredible little piece though, Well worth the price especially since the dinero goes towards more good things in the future. It's Gorgeous. Thanks to all who work hard to keep this great club rolling.

I didn't know there was a parking problem. I'm usually one of the first 5 people there and one of the last 5 to go. See you probably thought a parking problem was common knowledge, but it's news to me.
Thanks everyone for the comments. So far, we aren't getting complaints. That kind of worries me.... since we usually do. But please keep sending us comments on what you liked (so we don't get rid of it) and what could make things better.
You wouldn't believe how much our club has changed by people saying "I think this could help out..." and then we do it.

Adam, just to make it official... this was the best fragfest/coral cutting seminar I have been to yet! Awsome job by all involved. I think that it helped many understand just how easy it can be to grag and this will allow increased fragging and trading amongst the group. Way to go! I'm not even bitter that I didn't get any of that green tongan!
Jamison..... ... I forgot I said that! You took me seriously? Sorry, you have the wrong plumbing Dude! But Steve Buscemi is a great actor!
I am glad that everyone stayed in line... Easiest bouncing gig I have ever had.
