I am looking for some tankmates for my fuzzy dwarf.  I am thinking more interesting than your average clean-up crew for startes. Urchin and cucumber, sea hare, starfish,  that sort of thing. I have never had those since I have a reef tank (lion is new and has his own tank bare of corals and other fish). How hard are they to keep? Will the lion leave them alone?  Do they need to be in an established tank?  Something fairly active would be good since the lion likes to sit and chill for hours. (give me something to watch)  I have a good hunch this lion would eat any crab (other than hermit) and any fish small enough to live in that size tank.  I have heard they will eat eels and jawfish etc. so I am hoping cukes would be ok.  What do you think?

PS It was a b**ch to get him on 'dead' food!

We just got a dwarf lion about a week ago.  (still on live ghost shrimp... grr. trying to get him to like prepared foods)  He is in a tank with a "turkeyfish" (still not sure what kind of fish he really is.  I can't find any pics of him on the net and no one seems to know anything about him.  All we know is that he is kinda a cross between a lion and scorpion)  There is also a perc clown in there.  They all get along and we haven't had any problems with crabs going missing.
For your desired tankmates I say you shouldn't get any of the cleaners till you have an established tank with lots of algea for them to eat.  I got a sea hare for the hair algea in my 180 and he cleaned the ENTIRE tank in less than a week.  I now have to find a way to keep him fed.
Unfortunately I don't think any of those cleaners will be much more interesting than the lion.  They are fairly slow movers.  I'd say that if you get tankmates that are bigger than the lion's mouth you should be ok.

TUrkey fish? Post a pic. I wanna see!  Good to know on the sea hare. I really wanted one of those but I don't think that tank will ever support one. IT has PC lights.  I don't think a clown would last with mine. How big is your lion?

The lion is maybe 2-3" long and the clown is almost 3" long.  Needless to say he can't fit in the lion's mouth.  LOL

Here are the pics of the turkey fish I took right before I bought him.

Here he is at home

Maybe he is some kind of frog or stone fish?  He looks really cool.  How big is he supposed to get and what does he eat?   My lion is about 5 inches and growing very quickly. Now that he is eating real food his coloring is getting really dark red too. Very cool.  He has an endearing personality, prob one of my favorite fish.

We have a dwarf lion in our 90.  We also have 2 chromis, a clown fish, coral beauty, 3 damsels a lawn mower blenny, a tang (I can't remember what kind), a bunch of crabs and snails  and  a bunch of coral.  The lion fish just hangs out all day and hasn't bothered anything at all.  We have had him for over a month.

I don't know much of anything about what he is, but he eats krill, silversides, squid, and ghost shrimp.  He has a personality kinda like a lion.  He usually just hangs out somewhere in the tank and looks around.  He eats like a lion.  (sneaks up on it or waits for it to get close and then eats it in a split second)  He is really cool.
He is at least 6" long and leaves the clown alone.

He looks more like a racoon than a turkey. Neat fish. Thanks for the pictures.

He's about 4-5".  We just feed him what we feed everything else: mysis, brine, etc.  We got it from a friend and he has never had live food or silversides etc.  We don't feed him anything that is a fish or resembles one.  We figure if he doesn't know he should eat them then he won't!LOLLOL
