I like to make baffles out of acrylic and silicone them in place.  Be aware that acrylic swells with water so cut them about 1/8" small.  I cut my first set of baffles to be snug in my glass sump and it broke the sump.

Baffles to not need to be water tight  and there in not much pressure for the most part in a sump so silicone will work fine even with acrylic/glass.

Thanks,

Scott

I had a couple of pieces of glass cut for about $2 a piece at a glass company and then siliconed them in place.  It was cheaper than acrylic because I didn't want to buy a big sheet of acrylic and I didn't have the tools to cut acrylic anyway.

And like Scott said, get it cut 1/8" smaller than opening.  I had to go back and get another piece cut because I measured wrong. (got it too small)

If there is not going to be any pressure on the baffles, you can get the 1/8" glass cut at Lowes.  That is what I used for my bubble trap and race-ways...  If there is going to be any pressure I would get at least 3/16" thick.
