Yeah---I have been spot feeding my blastomussa for about a three weeks now and guess what? He split! HOORAY! Now instead of having 2 heads---I have four! HOORAY! Wow--he did this practically overnight!
As a side note--my Zooanthids have more then doubled in size since I have been spot feeding them!
That is actually a picture of someof the flowers that I hybridize! In fact that is a real picture of the flower---eventhough shrunken down it look s like a cartoon!
Spring has started for me! Since I manage a greenhouse(yes, I teach school too and I go insane this time of year)--we have begun planting seeds such as geraniums, lobelia, verbena, and other crops that take a long time to grow! I LOVE PLANTS! and of course corals!
When I spot feed my corals. I just take a little chunk of Cyclopeze and hold it close by until either the coral grabs it or until I think that they have had enough.
Any meaty foods small enough will be eaten by zoos and blastomussa--including table shrimp, clams, etc----in fact I use my finger nails to break pieces off when I am feeding my anemone---they are not picky eaters--and they can eat more then you think! The more food--the more growth! It's amazing!
