Merry Christmas to All!
The Wasatch Marine Aquarium Society is continuing our tradition of fantastic Christmas meetings again this year. But, we have decided to step it up a notch!
Check out all the great activities we have planned for our December meeting:
The Aquatic & Terrestrial Research Team and their generous sponsors present Steven Pro.
This meeting is dedicated to finding the perfect aquarium related gifts to fit any budget. This is the perfect meeting for spouses that may (or may not) know what to get their fish keeping significant others. Steven Pro is currently the proprietor of Pro Aquatic Services Company, an aquarium sales and maintenance business in Pennsylvania. He has long been active in the retail and hobby sides of the ornamental aquatics industry. He has taken an active and impassioned role in the industry as a member of the Pittsburgh Marine Aquarium Society, Inc. He moderates his own on-line forum hosted by Marine Depot and shares his unbiased experience and practical knowledge freely with everyone.
Joy Meadows from PFO will be on-hand to demo their new Solaris LED light systems.
"PFO Lighting is proud to introduce the Solaris LED Illumination System. The Solaris is the first LED System designed to replace Metal Halide and Fluorescent lighting for the Aquarium Reef Tanks. It has been in development for over two years. It will change the way Aquarists light their tanks from now and into the future."
RAFFLE Mania! Paid Members get 2 tickets for the price of 1!
Thanks to the generous donations of our sponsors, there will be $1000's worth of items for raffle! We will have pumps, lights, skimmers, gift certificates and much, much more available. Richins Carpentry has even donated a complete, custom stand and hood set. Some lucky winner will have a nice 75 gal tank set under their tree this year!
Support the club and win some great prizes! Raffle tickets are only $1
Tank of the Month Awards.
We will highlight each 2006 ToM and award them a special plaque for their participation. If you showcased your tank this past year, then you'll want to be at the meeting to receive your highly coveted award.
Elections for 2007 WMAS Officers.
The poll will be officially opened to vote for the 2007 WMAS officers. One ballot will be available for each valid membership those casting their votes will receive a free raffle ticket. I encourage everyone to review the list of candidates and carefully select those people that will effectively participate in the administration of the club in 2007. A list of candidates can be found here: http://www.utahreefs.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=14989 Absentee ballots are also available for any Paid Member that will not be at the December meeting.
