Do turbo snails do well in y'all's tanks?  I've bought 4 (not at once) for my 15 gallon nano, and they seem to just keep dying.  I keep the tank temperature at 79-80, and I swear my tank is dirty enough it could use the cleanup, but it doesn't seem to fly.

Any thoughts?

I've got three in my 18G.  They are the only snails still alive actually.  I have some parasitic snails that have killed my other varieties (astrae and ceiths) but the turbos have prevailed.  Two of the turbos have only been in there about 5 months.... but the biggest one is over a year old.

Although people like to say that snail are only expected to live for a year, they can live much longer.  I have Turbo snails in my aquarium that are over 5 years old.  I have Astraeas that are going on 4 years.

Snails seem to be a little sensitive and die quite easy, so they usually don't live more then a year or so in the aquarium (but they can).

Not all snails do well in all tanks. Try different snails, Margarite, Astrea, Cerith, Nassarius.... If they also die, then consider the phosphate level in the tank. Next to natural causes, elevated PO4 is a major cause of snail mortality.
