k i need some ideas of good water movement for my 45. i have a HOB refugium that is ok flow but not the best. i was thinkin maybe 2 power heads on oppostie sides of tank each one moving maybe 200gph. what do you guys think. i have an anemone, toadstool, green star polyps, and some other polyps. what would you guys recommend? thanks!

That's the minimum of water flow for that size of tank. What kind of powerheads are those that are pushing 200 gph? I would think that double that from each powerhead would be much better. Also the positioning of those powerheads and the direction they shoot is very crucial to maximizing flow. I have more to say about this so if you want to read more detail from my experince with this, let me know.

yes i would love more input on this mark. i went to brad's tonight and he said for me to go with 2 seio's runnin 600 gph. so i took his advice and went and bought one. i will get the other very soon. he also informed me to take my glass canopy off. i just ordered a new one too so it will be goin back for the second seio. i have the one shootin towards the center of the tank from one corner. the other one will shoot into that stream so it will cause turbulence.

Well you've been ruined now. Precious few tanks look as good as Brad's does. I think you will be very happy with the Seios too.

I just installed a Seio 820 and boy what a difference.  These things can move some water and the price is right!
