I forget who it was that did the little demo at the last meeting, but I'm trying
to make my little RC circuit that is supposed to protect the reed switch on
the float valve. My copy of the handout I got is a little hard to read, but I
think it says 100 ohm resistor and a 0.1 micro farad capacitor rated at 500
V. I just wanted to make sure those were correct values. Radio shack didn't
have any capacitors that were rated to that high of a voltage. How much
room do I have to fudge on that stuff? Can a use one rated for 350 V? Any
amp rating for the resistor?
Stephan, do let us know how it goes on this project. Pictures would be great too. I (along with others) couldn't make the meeting but are interested in this project.
