I found this growing in my tank.  When I first saw it on the live rock, I figured it was a dead something.  However, over the months it has started to grow.  On other sites I have seen some odd coraline algae formations that are not encrusting.  Is that what this is as I have never seen a picture of this stuff before?

Very cool. Let it grow and frag it out!

I have some awesome plating coraline in my tank.  I've never seen a branching variety. It looks really cool whatever it is. I really dig the little things that show up on their own. That definitely adds some individuality to your tank!

Appears to be a form of branching Coralline Algae.  Enjoy.
