Aggressive Blue Damsil

This topic was covered slightly in another thread but I decided to start my own. I bought a Damsil about 4 months ago as a "starter" so I could try my hand, again, at keeping fish. I've had other in the past but they all died either to ick or the stress of moving my tank. When I first got the Damsil he too came down with ick but I remembered this time that garlic is the miricule cure. So to get to the point I resently bought a Blue Tang that is just a stich smaller than the Damsil but the Damsil has been harassing him ever since I put him in. I've tried to net the Damsil to remove him for a night or two cause I've heard that can cure a aggressive fish but he is totally in his element and has proven very hard to net. Is there a better way to get him out? Should I still be concerned for the Tangs health? He is getting food and swimming around a little more but the Damsil keeps him pinned down in a corner for most of the day.

On a side note what foods should I be feeding the Tang? So far I've been feeding brine shrimp and some larger type of shrimp (not sure what kind, but you guys catch my drift) and some DTs but I always thought that was more for the corals benefit. I've also seen him picking at the live rock every now and then.

Have you considered "The Trap", you can rent it from a lot of the LFS. It worked wonders for me with a Purple Pseudochromis. I tried for days with a net and I got him out within 2 min. with the trap. Don't put him back in your tank. IOM, get rid of him.

Randy, I am trying to find a store that sells Nori. Where do you get yours?

Have you tried both the Painted Fish and Aquaticia, for the Nori? And which store did you rent the trap from?

Mark Peterson also has a very nifty trap.

I think your Tang should be eating a primarily herbivore diet. I fed spirula flakes, nori, etc... Meat should only be an occasional for him.
