 Topic: Clownfish info needed

Need some help on knowing what is needed to raise clownfish. Currently I have a clown pair in a 55 gallon tank.
If anybody could let me know on the "how to" of this process that would be awesome!
Currently I have just the one 55 gallon tank so I will need other supplies I assume, so details on that would be awesome (however the more cost effective the better).

You'll need small tank, air pump, rotifers, Phyto paste, ammonia alert badge.

-First thing is to learn how to culture rotifers.
-Second you will need a spawning pair of clowns.
- Remove eggs/larvae to larvae tank.
- Need air bubbles and feed rotifers day 1 through 21.
- Feed Newly hatched babby brine shrimp day 12 - 30.
-Feed pellets/flakes from day 14 on.
-move to grow out tank around 6 to 8 weeks.
*stop at A Reef Oasis, see the breeding projects I have going on.

Varieties of methods have been used successfully for over 20 years, but nothing can be accomplished without a pair of fishies that are spawning, either yours or a friends. 
Get the book Clownfishes: A Guide to their Captive Care, Breeding and Natural History by Joyce Wilkerson. There is probably a copy of this book you can borrow off of someones bookshelf.
Read these 3 links and find others:
The pics below are from 1996 when I first raised some Clownfish. Since then I would guess that 1000's of people have done it. Maybe you will be next?

Shaun is a very successful breeder, and not just clownfish either. A Reef Oasis is in Orem. If you are closer to Murray, I have tanks and equipment.

Mark,
I've read several of your posts where you talk about rescuing clownfish. Do you know what caused those fish needing to be rescued?
It might be good to know of any pitfalls that you know of that may not be so common. I'm not implying that this will be a rescue but maybe for a starter it would be good to know.

That's right, they were kept in poor conditions. The breeder has a better system now, plus they are being transferred from the bare tanks into a reef tank earlier in their young lives, so they won't fall into the same difficulties from here on.
DMower took quite a number of them and last I knew, he has a few left (that his shark didn't eat).

No, I don't. I don't really need one. In my systems algae grows prolific, eating up pollution on the spot. I set up systems with the main purpose being to keep Nitrogen compounds at minimum levels and I trust my senses of sight and smell to tell me if things are not right. People may think I'm strange but I haven't tested for Ammonia, Nitrite or Nitrate in any of my systems in the last 10 plus years. There has been no need because the systems are set up to maximize pollution processing to the fullest and thereby avoid water changes.
The last time I raised clownfish (2011) they grew up in this two tank connected system. Larvae and post metamorphosis fish on the right were then moved to the grow out Refugium tank crowded with algae (even Cyanobacteria) on the left. The white fabric in the right tank kept larvae (and some rotifers) from being pulled into the siphon and swept into the Refugium on the left. When young fish were almost 3/4" they were moved from the Refugium to a coral farming system. The bottom tank in this pic was dark green having just been infused with algae paste to to ensure a large continuous Rotifer population.
This worked for me because I try to make my farming require as little labor as possible. Aloha, Mark
