Decided to start my dream nano dwarf seahorse tank... went with the Mr Aqua 6g because i liked the length vs the hieght.

For filtration i picked up a Zoo Med 501 canister filter. Its designed for tanks up to 10g and comes with a spray bar. After installing and running i think the water movement is minimal for the length of the tank...even for dwarf seahorse(s). I may add a simple sponge filter on the far side of the tank to add aeration.
Not 100% sure on what i will do for lighting at the moment, have thought about a simple 50/50 PC fixture or maybe a cheaper LED. As most corals will sting and kill seahorse fry my thought is to stick with lots of colorful marco's and maybe attempt some softies (xenia, keyna, cloves, etc). For now i just left a couple Ecoxotic stunner strips on top so i can keep my eye on the tank while i start the cycle.

Added hawaiian black sand... lots of conflicting info on this one but the general thought is that dark colored substrate makes it easier for the seahorse to hunt prey.... but mostly i just think its cool.

Started cycling the tank on Dec 10.... more info to come!

Update!
Tank is fully cycled and i added some dry rock. Ended up adding a simple sponge filter in the far corner to give a bit of aeration. After debating what i wanted to do for lighting options i picked up a Beamswork LED Power 400, the LEDs are meant for a planted feshwater tank but seeing as how all i plan on doing in this tank is macros and a few softies i think they'll do fine. I wanted to make the LEDs seem a bit more sophisticated without spending $$ on a fancy fixture so i bought a Ramp Timer off of amazon.

Still need to place an order to get a bunch of colorful macroalgae and after it takes hold it will be time for the seahorses!
