Two days ago, I bought a Decorator Crab. I noticed that he had died this morning when I fed my fish. I've removed the body, but my Coral Beauty has been acting weird ever since. He's just been laying on the sand bed, propped up against the glass, but his breathing seems normal. My water parameters and salinity are okay. Any ideas as to what might be going on?

Are you sure that it was the crab and not a molt?

Yeah I'm sure. On the plus side, my coral beauty is swimming around again. I just don't know what could have killed him. I drip acclimated him and even got him to eat some frozen shrimp yesterday.

Tank Update

So my coral beauty is now laying on its side and all of the other fish are hiding in the rock. Does anyone have any idea what's going on?

I'm not sure what could have happen but maybe if it was dead and it may have started to decompose and has contaminated the water. I would do a water change. What are your parameters
