Are these guys a good idea?  I have a crushed coral sand bed and I'm looking for extra CUC members to help keep it white.

Sure their a good idea, but in 4 tanks I have had. I have always had them in my tank naturally. Even my tank with wrasses. Im sure you can find someone local (well utah) that will give you a few for free
