With all the stuff I received from TBS, things have been looking good.  However, I have had issues locating a place for the blade gorgonian.  I think I finally found a good spot for it about three days ago, but it was in a crappy spot for about a week.  Now that it seems happier, it has a slight issue.  On at least one of the blades there is a patch of brown diatoms that is forming.  Should I just wait it out to see if it clears up or can I use a toothbrush to brush it off with?

These are actually somewhat similar to leathers in that they will shed an outer layer ever few weeks, and it often has a brownish tint. I would wait to see if it is shedding. Also you'll want to make sure it does get some light, because these gorgs do perform photosynthesis.

Steve - Thanks.  That was my thought as it did the shedding thing when I first put it in.  Also it is getting a bit of light, so I think it is okay, but I will watch it.

Jeff - thanks!

Thanks.  As far as the tour, I seriously considered it, but I have a scout camp that day.  So I won't be home until later, and I don't think the wife is up to it in my absence.

Well I take it back.  The camp dates changed and so I just might be able to convince my wife to have our house open for the tour.
