Killing zoas and polys

I love my colonies, but is there some you can do to kill them if the spread in the wrong direction.  I have tried injection lime juice but it just made them made.  They have a tendency to over run my SPS.

you can keep the rock you just cut at the bottom of the zoanthids. I like in PG i can come down some time in the next couple of days if you want and show you how to do it. By the way what type /color are you trying overgrowing ?

I wish I had that problem.   Our zoas/palys are real slow growers.
 
What are you doing that makes them so happy?

wootonjeremy - If you show my how to do it, you can have whatever we frag.  Right now the problem ones are some tan and some green polys.
 
ksarcury - I have no idea.  Corals seem to do pretty good in my tank on thier own.  Fish however are another story!

is the rock they are on big? Can it be taken out of the aquarium for a minute? Or does it have a ton of corals on it? Ya let me check but I could probably come down this weekend and help you out??!

That is the same as my tank. Give me an "impossible SPS" and I can keep it. Give me a hardy fish and it will die! I blame my clown though for my fish problems.

How are the acans looking?

wootonjeremy - the rock is large and has some sps on it (that is why I need to cut back the polys) so it can't come out of the tank.

Ryan - The acan is doing great.  It is getting brighter each day.  As it grows out it should be a great focal point.  I will try to post some pics.

put frag plugs next to the rock you dont want them spreading off of. When they grow on... remove the frag plug and sell it!

I have done the plug thing to propogate them, but I didn't think about using it to block and remove them.  I like that idea.
