So I purchased some Hydrophora from Tyler (tamortman- who has one of the most amazing setups I have EVER seen) and have a few questions about it.  I have been reading up on it, and I find some people who say that it is VERY aggressive and some who say not to worry about it.  I have it up towards the top of the tank for best lighting, but do these "require" halides?  Also, how far can these sweeper tentacles reach, and will they harm any fish or inverts?

Please share with my your experience with these beautiful corals...

I have mine under MH, but I don't think they are as picky about lighting as some SPS.  They won't hurt fish or inverts.  Their sweepers can get very long range (8") and can be aggressive towards other corals.  Mostly other SPS but I've heard stories about them hurting/killing any other corals they touch.  I haven't seen the sweepers on mine.  I'm usually looking at the aposymbiotic corals when the lights are off.  But mine do play nice with my mushrooms and zoos... they grew toward/into the hydno Confused I haven't put anything close enough to know if they play nice with other things.
Just to be safe I say if you value the other corals, keep them away from the hydno.

Great, good to know.  Thanks for the info.  So i guess that was my question.  I have mine next to some zoos and some frogspawn,  but was wondering if I should move them.  So in your experience, you say that they should be fine next to zoos?

I think the zoos will be ok. 
How close is the hydno to the frogspawn?  The frogspawn and hydno may fight as they both have sweepers, but they may be fine.  Keep an eye on them.
 
Here is how close the other corals are to my hydno.  They have been growing together on this big rock for several months.  I am more worried about the zoos overgrowing the hydno than the hydno hurting the zoos...

mine is sitting next to a devils hand coral and frogspawn with no ill effects (YET)
They do like the higher flow, and mine is about 3/4 of the way up the tank with MH's and growing well.

Good point about flow... I forgot to mention that.  Embarrassed
I have 3 Koralia 4's in addition to my return... it sounds like a lot but over 7' of tank it isn't really that much.  The hydnos sit in the open about 1/2 way up the tank... when the rock one of them is on (see above) isn't knocked off the reef by the gobies digging Angry
