What are these Black Turbo Snails that I have heard a couple people talking about?  I have heard that they are supposed to be the cure-all for algae.  Is this true?  Does anybody know what I am talking about?  Latin name?

Could be referring to a probable 2 types of snails... 1st and most probable... Trochus Snails. Another may be the Mexican red foot snails... there foot is Jet black with a very brilliant red, as well. IMO, if it is one of these 2 spp, is to go with the trochus... they're really good algae eaters and will even munch, a bit on cyano. Mexican red foots are from a cooler environment and are really not too long lived in the 75-81 degree reefs we tend to keep. All jmo, though.
