Nothing really exciting other than I just saw an all black stomatella on one of my other snails--looked just like all the other stmoatellas except that his shell and all flesh was black instead of mottled gray. Just thought I'd share.

I wish I had some left period. When I did treatments for my flatworms, it killed off all of the stomatella

I have had a few come into my tank as hitchhikers and I have to say they are probably my favorite clean up critters. I hope they multiply!

That is exciting. Do you think you could post a picture of it?

I have had (and have 1) gray brown/gray stomatella snails before. They have always come in on my live rock. I have never seen them reproduce.

I've had them reproduce in my tank before. They do the 'poof of smoke' thing. It was fascinating because all of them across the entire tank were perched on diferent rocks and started poofing sperm and eggs out into the water column. It took me a while to figure out where the smoke stacks were coming from because I could barely see the stomatella hiding in the rocks. I had about 6 of them at the time. I started seeing babies a few months after that, but I'm sure they made good food for something because I only have a few left.

I'll try and get a picture of it soon, since it's always out and about. And I'll try and get some updated tank pics. Mine were also spawning the other day, I probably can find 6-12 crawling around my tank at any one time.

I've been trying to get pictures but unfortunately my cell phone just doesn't cut it for taking pictures of something that small inside the aquarium. BUT I know I have at least two, since one has a tiny feather duster worm on it's shell, and the other has coraline algae on it.
