I just got my first salt water tank 22g.. I am looking for a light to support corals, I dont know much on salt water so if you have one or know who does let me know.. thanks  .....

If you are wanting to have soft coral I would recommend VHO lighting.
If you are wanting to have LPS coral I would recommend VHO lighting.
If you are wanting to have SPS coral I would recommend VHO lighting.
If you want a nice tank I would recommend VHO lighting...

I bought some polyps, not knowing I had the wrong light  . I was told the one that came with it was ok for the corals but found out otherwise..

With 16.5" you are pretty much limmited to 24watt or 28/32 watt Power Compact flourescent lighting. I would go with 2 or maybe 3 of those. You could go with Metal Halide but that is even more heat to deal with.
