One of my BTA's lost its foot. I found the anomeone in the back of my tank. The anemone left part of its foot on the rock and was just foating around. I suspect the 10 gallon was too small for 2 bta's so they duked it out. I moved the injured one to my 125 were he is recoved but has not atached to anything yet. There is still that peice of foot in the 10 gallon obviously still alive because this hapened 2 weeks ago and the foot is still vibrant in color. My question is can I expect this foot to become an anemone? Is this a form of spliting?

I don't know about the anemone, but I had a blue linkia star that lost an arm without any portion of the mouth, yet it lived and moved around for six more months in my tank.

My BTA did similar things, and I did not see them grow into a new anenome.

I`ve never seen one fully recover into a new anemone. usually
they will begin to separate at the mouth and just divide over
time, but anemones and coralimorph`s are very closely related
and we all know how easy mushrooms spread.

I have a light colored pearly looking flower anemone in my tank.  It started folding up on the middle and now I have two.  Will they move apart from each other?  I didn't know they split like that.

Yep they will probably move apart.  That is exactly what they do.
