Topic: My Reef Tour Preview Posted: September 11 2006 at 8:16pm |
I'm going out of town for work again for two and a half weeks and in the hopes of drawing a few people to my house this year for the reef tour I thought I would post a few pictures of both my 65 gallon tank and my new 225 gallon tank.
I wont be home untill the 28th of this month so that wont be much time for me to get them ready. But everyone should come and see!!!!!!
Salt Lake County Will Rock!
My 65 Gallon Tall
These pictures are from the 225g.

Yep judging by those pics no one is going to take time to visit Salt Lake to see your tank. Sorry Brad.

The corals look great, but the coolest thing about your tanks is that school of Anthias.

It is exciteing to see fish finally in the tank Will , . I looked for xmas anthias's for about a month before Shawn called me and said he had some comeing in. I have 5 xmas (Bartletts) and 2 Dispars and 1 mystery wrasse so far. When I get back from Hawaii I'm going to attempt getting my tangs out of my 65 and into their new home.

Your Anthias are gorgious. I would love a big tank stocked with like 50-100 anthias and nothing else.
That wrass is pretty cool looking too. I'm hoping to find a beautiful fairy wrass for my tank one day.

My mystery wrasse is also a new addition to the tank. I want to put my large tangs in the new tank , but I can't catch them. Ideas? or does anyone have a nice fish trap I could borrow?
I have been feeding them by hand for around 4 months but soon as I get the net, there gone.

Pump out about 40 gallons of water, grab the fish you want, and pump the same water back in.

I've had good luck with the soda bottle trap. Tangs are such eager feeders they rarely hesitate to go in after food.

Some of his tangs might not fit in a pop bottle
