So what's the scoop about products from these guys? I'm
looking for the good, the bad, and the ugly. This is for tanks
and stands. Thanks for the input.

Search in reefcentral Sarah. I researched this about a year ago
and found a bunch of mixed feedbacks. Their price is really good
though. Recently, Kevin (Keodog) had a leak from a new 300g tank
ordered from them I think. You can just ask Kevin.
Are you upsizing to an obscenely large tank ? If so, let us know so that we can cheer you on!

We are thinking about upsizing. Because we are finally buying our
own place and 1) think it would be easier to move the current tank
contents into an already set up tank 2) want to get our dream set up,
or at least closer to it 3) your tank was an inspiration for what ours
could be someday...we loved it. It's definitely not a go yet, but
when/if it is...you'll know.

I ordered a 280 from them in September. When I got it home, I knocked the bottom glass on a stair railing and it cracked. It was only a slight bump though, so it made me wonder about how well they build their tanks. Other than that I have no complaints.

Where do you buy instead? Without selling your soul. I had a kind of custom idea in mind (wide version, so I can reach the bottom), so I don't think I could find it here. Who else sells large tanks?

Glasscages is good if you do not need to hold water (reptiles). Anything that is large and custom is going to cost you. For instance - 96"X48"X30" Acrylic tank (600) gallons will run you about $2,600 to $3,000. I have priced glass tanks approx. this size and they are about $3,500 to $4,500. If price is a major issue then your best bet is to stay with a standard size. You can get an AGA 210 for about $700. The other thing you can do is watch ReefCentral for a good deal. Brad just found a steal on there. Good Luck...

I have purchased 3 tanks from them one is a 72x30x30 with a center
overflow one is a 96x24x24 and one was an acrylic 24" cube and I have
been very happy with all of them except the acrylic but that is just
because I am not to sure on acrylic as I scratch them to easy.
But the glass ones are built very sturdy and I have not seen a better
price on a tank and am not sure in my experience any other tank would
be any better. Yes I understand that a few have had problems so I
can only speeak from my experience maybe I am just lucky
If you do order one I would recomend the low Iron glass as it makes a
huge difference almost like there is no glass between you and the water
it is very very clean looking.

I tried to search on reefcentral.com but it seems to be down for the
count and because I'm brand new I can't post a new thread. Can
someone help me find info on glasscages.com? I'm most interested
in their stands.

I have a custom tank built by Inter-American Pet supplies in Canada.
They are definately a contender if you don't want to sell your soul.
The boss-man "Mitch" has earned a reputation for getting under people's skin and driving them nuts. That experience was no different for me; but, I went into the deal expecting that and was braced for it, so the shock wasn't so bad.
In the end, I got a lovely tank at a more-than-reasonable price. Just keep in mind that Mitch understands glass much better than he understands people.
