Pods will eat phyto and waste from your tank. This is what we use them for in our sumps. Think of them as janitors.  I have rotifiers that I use to feed my tank also. I maintain seperate cultures and they are fed phyto. Once they engorge themselves with phyto your corals and fish will consume them. At the next meeting I will be selling rotifer cultures in pint bottles. I will post them  before the next meeting for those who want to start growing them.

There are two types of "pods" normally referred to in the hobby; amphipods and copepods. They are notably different and their food is different. Which type are you interested in and why?

Mark,

I'm interested in hearing how they differ as well as how you get them growing.  I want to have a Manderain or  two.
